Lions Martial Arts Federation
(Lions Federation)

The Lions Federation is an organization that exists to enable schools, clubs and groups, with the goal of having a family friendly, injury free martial arts training program, 

The Lions Federation is also chartered to pursue the establishment of a university-level Academy of Sports Science and Martial Arts.  The Academy program is expected to have a Liberal Arts focus, and provide a theoretical and practical understanding of the Martial Arts. The Academy is also intended to eventually become an accredited "Associate of Arts" (AA) university program that prepares students for transfer upon graduation to four-year institutions to pursue a baccalaureate degree in Taekwondo, Martial Arts, or a related Sports Science field.

The Lions Federation is organized for charitable and educational purposes, and shall be empowered to undertake any activities reasonably necessary to accomplish or supplement the foregoing, but only to the extent permitted under 26 U.S.C. §501(c)(3).

There are four (4) categories of membership in the Lions Federation. Specifically, these categories are:

  1. Board of Directors
  2. Officers and Employees
  3. Member Schools
  4. Clubs, Unions, and other Associations

The Board of Directors of the Lions Federation shall be appointed from time to time, by a vote of the Board of Directors.  All other Officers and Employees are determined by the Board of Directors.

Member Schools, Clubs, Unions, and other Associations shall be accepted as members of the Lions Federation by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors.

The initial “Board of Directors” consists of three (3) members. Thereafter, the Board of Directors shall consist of not less than three (3) members, not more than fifteen (15) members from time to time as set forth in the By-Laws. The names and titles of the people who are to serve as initial directors and officers of the corporation are:

Micah Kingston - Chairman
Nevin Pratt - Executive Director / President / CFO
John Pratt - Deputy Directory / Vice-President

The Lions Federation may have additional officers and employees from time to time as determined by the Board of Directors, including but not limited to any of the following: Curriculum Coordinator, Secretary, Legal Advisor, and any number of Training Instructors.

All officers and employees are elected by or hired by the Board of Directors. Their roles and duties are determined by the Board of Directors at the time of their hire or appointment, and they serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors as determined in the By-Laws.
